Super Space Blast

I have decided to dabble in game development. I will concentrate on 2D for now until I can get better at using Unity.

Super Space Blast is derived from the tutorial on Unity's website adapting the layout to the way I wanted it. I am not happy with the layout as it is too tall for an internet game and on the desktop, the game opens in a window no where close to the size of the game. I need the experience, so I will remake the game for a 640 x 480 window so it don't look odd.

Super Space Blast has a 2D perspective but modeled with 3D objects.

You can play the embedded game after the break.

Droid Diver

An arcade game I created that resembles a classic Atari game from my childhood. The game was written in Java which is Android's native programming language. Doing it that way keeps the application size down.

Game play is simple like the original. Press start to start the plane. Tap the screen to drop the diver. Aim for the target.

You can get the game on Google Play for Android. It will not be available for iOS.

Cement, This Week is a podcast created by my father. Every week, he releases a new volume about the happenings in and around Cement, Oklahoma. The shows are released usually every Sunday around noon central. When he uploads his podcast to Podomatic, I create a link in the app pointing to his podcast.

Gunsmoke Radio

Gunsmoke is one of those long-running classic Old-Time Radio shows that everyone knows and remembers. It's also one that is still respected for its high values, in all aspects. Gunsmoke first aired on the CBS network on April 26, 1952, billed as the first adult western. It was set in Dodge City, Kansas in the 1870's.

The main character, Matt Dillon, was played by William Conrad. On August 6, 1951, William Conrad played the lead in a show entitled "Pagosa" in the series Romance, where he played the part of a reluctant sheriff in a tough Western town. Although not a true audition, Conrad's character role is very close the that of Matt Dillon in Gunsmoke. It was one of the "stepping stones" toward the production of Gunsmoke.
